Interactive Tools

Powered by NEOCANDO and the CHILD System

As the community grows in its capacity to use data, we’ve teamed up with community partners to build custom tools, stories, visualizations, and dashboards powered by our robust data. These tools are designed with your intended use at the center.

Examples of dashboards and other tools created in partnership with community agencies and powered by NEOCANDO:

Progress Index CLE

The Progress Index is a neighborhood data tool developed by Cleveland Neighborhood Progress and the Poverty Center. The goal of the tool is to equip community development practitioners with housing and economic mobility data so that they may better understand neighborhood dynamics, monitor trends, develop solutions, and use data to measure organizational and/or programmatic outcomes.

Lead Safe Cleveland Coalition Dashboard

The Lead Safe Cleveland Coalition Data Dashboard has answers to common questions and information on the rollout of Cleveland's Lead Safe Ordinance and how it is affecting children, families and neighborhoods.

Child Care Story Map

As part of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's and Urban Institute's "Using Data to Inform Local Decisions on COVID-19 Response and Recovery", this effort, led by Starting Point in collaboration with the Poverty Center, explores the impact of COVID-19 on the child care delivery system in Cuyahoga County and provides local stakeholders with information intended to help them respond effectively and equitably to the pandemic. This Story Map provides a detailed geographical analysis of observed changes to the demand and supply for child care services between September 2019 and September 2020 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

Cleveland.Housing.Health

This project forges a new network in which health and housing groups can affect policy and environment problems in Cleveland. Expected impacts include: increased use of healthy home data; support of healthy housing policy; ability for public health officials to target resources; and code enforcement to areas of greatest need.
