Rachel Stegemann re-joined the Department of Student Activities and Leadership in May 2022 as the Business Manager, taking over for the beloved Suzanne Leach, who retired in April 2022.She made this transition from the Mather Center, where she worked for a year as the Operations Manager.
In May of 2023, she transitioned to her current role as Associate Director. Rachel advises the University Program Board in this position and works closely with the Risk Managers for undergraduate student organizations.
Prior to her role in the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women, Rachel served as the Assistant Director for Operations and Assessment in the Office of Student Activities & Leadership at Case Western Reserve University for three and a half years. In her role at Student Activities & Leadership, Rachel worked with a wide variety of students and staff to elevate the student life experience. In her role as the Operations Manager in the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women Rachel coordinated office operations and oversaw student employment opportunities within the center.
Rachel is an alumna of Case Western Reserve University, holding a Master's Degree in Genetics. Additionally, she holds a BS in Biochemistry from Allegheny College and an MLIS degree with a focus on Museum Studies from Kent State University, and is working on her part-time MBA here at CWRU. Her wide knowledge base represents her passion for learning and teaching, where she constantly strives to provide quality service for the CWRU community and beyond.
