July 1, 1841
The Hudson Chapter of Alpha Delta Phi was founded on July 1st, 1841 as the first fraternity on campus. Six Undergraduates were initiated by the Fraternity Founder, Samuel Eells.

1865
The Western Reserve chapter of Delta Upsilon was established at Western Reserve University.
1868
The Beta Chi chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon was established at Western Reserve University. The Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity superseded Beta Theta Pi.
1869
The Senior Class (Class of 1869):
- President, Addison M. Chapin, was a member of Delta Upsilon
- Secretary, J. Ernest Julian, was a member of Delta Upsilon
- Treasurer, Howard R. Parmelee, was a member of Delta Upsilon
The Junior Class (Class of 1870):
- President, Thomas D. Seymour, was a member of Alpha Delta Phi
- Vice President, John Sherman, Jr. was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon
- Corresponding Secretary, James D. Williamson, was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon
- Treasurer, Frank I. Young, was a member of Alpha Delta Phi
The Sophomore Class (Class of 1871):
- President, J. Raymond Kennan, was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon
- Vice President, Charles H. Tallman, was a member of Alpha Delta Phi
- Treasurer, Henry Farwell, was a member of Delta Upsilon
- Secretary, Melancthon E. Chapin, was a member of Delta Upsilon
The Freshman Class (Class of 1872):
- President, Charles R. Grant, was a member of Delta Upsilon
- Vice President, Wilson S. Orr, was a member of Delta Upsilon
- Secretary, Dwight L Chapin, was a member of Delta Upsilon
- Treasurer, Robert J. Matthews, was a member of Delta Upsilon

March 7, 1897
Sigma Psi was founded on March 7, 1897 at the College for Women at Western Reserve University.

May 14-15, 1914
The Pi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was chartered on May 14-15 as the 15th chapter of the organization. The chapter was founded by students in the Cleveland College Club from both the Case School of Applied Science and Western Reserve University.

March 1955
Zeta Beta Tau was the first fraternity to install a rotary telephone system. The number was SWeetbriar 1-1970

The Eta Sigma Chapter of Order of Omega, a Greek leadership honor society, was chartered.
