Climate & Ecosystem Science Research

Climate & Ecosystem Science faculty hold primary appointments in the Department of Biology, Department of Chemistry and Department of Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences at the College of Arts and Sciences and in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Case School of Engineering.

Students take courses spanning this range. Climate & Ecosystem Science researchers could identify a novel microbe from an ecosystem, examine its natural products and metabolic partners, and measure its impacts on nutrient cycling; or connect urban air quality to plant cover, indoor microbial diversity, and asthma—all without leaving the cluster.
