With the school year ending and summer beginning, the Food Recovery Network (FRN) at CWRU is asking the help of campus faculty and staff to help recover unused food. Hundreds of pounds of good, unused food is thrown away annually. Every day during the academic year, the group’s student volunteers pick up food that would otherwise be thrown away from various locations around campus and store it until is it donated. While students are away, the group is asking those remaining on campus to fill in the gaps. It only takes a few minutes out of the day to make a big difference in local hunger and waste reduction. Email frnexec@case.edu for more information or visit FRN's Facebook page.
