Join the Office for Sustainability along with the Holden Arboretum and the Cleveland Forest Coalition to learn more about trees. The event will take place on Thursday, September 21 from noon to 1:00pm at the Tinkham Veale University Center's Senior Classroom (room 134).
A panel of speakers will present on what CWRU and Cleveland are doing to pay close attention to trees and how you can at home.
The panel will include:
- Student Sustainability Ambassadors will discuss CWRU's campus tree plan and our near complete Tree Campus USA application.
- Sandra Albro of the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, co-chair of the Cleveland Forest Coalition, will speak about the Cleveland Tree Plan.
- Chad Clink of Holden Arboretum will discuss the Tree Steward Training for community members and share tree care tips to use at home.
A question and answer session will conclude the presentation.
Those attending are encouraged to bring their own lunch to eat during the event. Desserts and coffee will be provided by the Office for Sustainability.
