What is Ellucian Advance?

Ellucian Advance is the university's system of record used for all fundraising and alumni relations-related activities. The database contains highly confidential biographical and philanthropic information on alumni, corporations, foundations, friends and other affiliates of the university. This information helps  to maintain connections within our community, to record relationship-building information and to process charitable donations. Ellucian Advance data is used by various departments across campus including but not limited to development, alumni relations, planned giving, donor relations, marketing and career services, etc.

How to Register for Training

Ellucian Advance is a complex database which requires initial training and continuing education. Prior to requesting access, please review the Advance Access Policy

  • Parking is available in the visitor's section of the CedarTech lot
  • For shuttle info, visit CWRU Shuttle
  • Upon arrival, take the elevators to the third floor, turn left and enter through the Advancement Services doors using the intercom

Advance Access Deactivation

Due to the confidential nature of the Ellucian Advance database, a staff member of the hiring department should immediately complete the Ellucian Advance Deactivation Form when an employee has left the university or has relocated to a different department. Once the Advance Access Deactivation Request Form is received and processed by The Department of Advancement Services, the employee's Ellucian Advance access will either be deactivated or will be properly adjusted based on their new department and job title.
