Do you want to explore the world of generative AI and enhance your academic journey? This self-paced training was developed to offer a concise foundation in generative AI for all students, regardless of your discipline, allowing you to work at your own pace, with an expected total completion time of 3-4 hours.

AI and Information Literacy: Similarities, Differences, and Best Practices

This module is designed to prepare you with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to navigate this evolving information environment. By exploring both Information Literacy (IL) and AI literacy, the goal is to help you develop the skills to critically evaluate information, ethically navigate new digital spaces, and practically apply AI tools in your academic pursuits.

Getting Started with Generative AI in Education for Faculty

This self-paced course offers a concise foundation in Gen AI and takes about 3-4 hours to complete. This course was developed in response to the CWRU AI Task Force report released by the Faculty Senate and Office of the Provost, and is a collaborative effort by University Technology ([U]Tech)’s Teaching and Learning Technologies team, Kelvin Smith Library, the University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education, and faculty members.

Offered through the Office of Human Resources’ Professional Development Center in partnership with [U]Tech, this tiered program is designed for employees who want to strengthen productivity, creativity and decision-making through more effective prompting and practical AI use in the workplace.

AI Staff Training

[U]Tech provides a customized staff training program designed to meet the specific requirements of individual departments. This program begins with an initial consultation to assess departmental needs, followed by targeted instruction and post-training follow-up meetings. After the training, [U]Tech staff meet with the department to understand successes and challenges that can help inform AI adoption across campus.
