Janaye’ D. Johnson is the Department Assistant in the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Engagement. She has extensive experience in strategic planning, relationship building and business administration.
Prior to assuming her position at Case Western Reserve University, Johnson served as the administrative assistant for the vice president and regional vice president of Mortgage Banking for Quicken Loans, Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to her administrative duties, Johnson managed an internship program at Quicken Loans, Inc.
Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Business and Business Administration from the University of Mount Union and was a member of the women’s basketball team. Johnson also served as a student administrator and assisted in the offices of Multicultural Students Affairs, Diversity and Inclusion and the Assistant Dean of Students. During her college career, Johnson played a vital role in increasing the presence and retention of underrepresented students and worked to improve the campus experience for students. Johnson helped to organize a diversity conference and diversity workshops at the university and was active in the Mount Union Sport Business Association and the Black Student Union.
