Join the Hudson Library & Historical Society on Monday, October 9 at 7 p.m. for a virtual author event with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, who will tell the story of how he ignited the computer revolution and effectively transformed the world and reveal why making technology accessible for all is the key to creating a better future.
Steve Wozniak is a technology entrepreneur, electronics engineer, computer scientist, programmer, and philanthropist. In 1976, he co-founded Apple Computer with his late business partner Steve Jobs. Through his work at Apple in the 1970s and 1980s, he is widely recognized as one of the most prominent pioneers of the personal computer revolution.

The Slavin Family Foundation Fellowships are awarded to students of extraordinary potential pursuing entrepreneurial projects. Fellowship awardees receive support, mentorship, and perks, including a $4,000 grant and expense-paid invitations to our annual summits. Applications are due October 15. Applications are open for the Hudson Library's annual Pitch Competition! This competition is open to entrepreneurs age 18+ who are in any stage of entrepreneurship (thinking with an idea, a startup, a small business, or an established company). Seven finalists will be selected, and at the competition, two $2,500 prizes and one $5,000 grand prize will be awarded. Online applications will be accepted starting Wednesday, October 4, and must be received by Tuesday, October 24. Click here to apply!

Startup Vikes, Cleveland State University’s premier entrepreneurship immersion experience, is accepting applications until October 31 for their November 2-4 event. More than $5,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to the top student teams! Any currently enrolled college student can register to pitch or join a team.

Please note the fund does NOT support course-related or research projects.

GSEA is a pitch competition for college student entrepreneurs (both undergraduate and graduate students) with a cash and in-kind prize package and the opportunity to advance from the regional round to the national and international levels. The application deadline is December 31, 2023. Still, there is a significant advantage to applying early: EO members can mentor and prep students to pitch at the competition on January 27 (held at the new EO space in downtown Cleveland!).
