The Parents and Family Leadership Council is comprised of dedicated Case Western Reserve parents and family members who, together with the Division of Student Affairs and development staff, seek to advance the university by enhancing the student experience.

Parents and family members of a current CWRU student in good standing who make an annual qualifying gift of $5,000 or more to the university are eligible for council membership.

Council members have opportunities to:

  • hear the latest university news and provide feedback at council meetings;
  • serve as ambassadors and welcome new parents to CWRU;
  • receive benefits such as VIP invitations and seating to campus events;
  • foster relationships with other Case Western Reserve families and encourage philanthropic support; and
  • help the university build partnerships that provide students and new graduates with vital career support by activating professional networks.

Ed and Kathy Apy

“I really appreciate having the insight of what is going on behind the scenes,” said Kathy. “As parents, the council provides a wonderful opportunity to hear directly from university leadership—that makes it more than worth it.” Continue reading their story.
