Guardian Ad Litem Project

A research study at Case Western Reserve University

Are you a guardian ad litem (GAL) in the state of Ohio?  Are you a parent who family been assigned a guardian ad litem (GAL) due to divorce?

We are interested in hearing from you!

We are studying the guardian ad litem (GAL) family court program in Ohio.

We’ll be interviewing those who work as a guardian ad litem in the state of Ohio, and parents whose families have been assigned a GAL in Ohio due to divorce, to assess their views on their GAL experiences, including what they thought was useful and not useful regarding GAL practice for their children’s best interests during the litigation.  Our goal is to recruit up to 15 guardians ad litem and 15 parents.

This study’s primary investigator is Eileen P. Anderson, EdD, Associate Professor of Bioethics, Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine
