  2. What’s something our members might not know about you?
I am a huge supporter of the arts, and I love music more than anything. I'm always interested in a conversation about any form of art or any genre of music.

  3. What’s on your bucket list?
I have a very good friend who lives in the breathtaking country of New Zealand. We met online in a parenting group when we were both pregnant with our sons. Both of our sons turn 20 this January, and despite the fact that we still talk nearly daily, we've never met in person. The #1 thing at the top of my bucket list is to visit her in New Zealand and see her beautiful home.

  4. What was your first job?
When I was a freshman in high school, I had to choose a place to volunteer for a semester for a class I was taking. I chose to help out at a local nursing home in the activities department. I spent my weekends talking to the residents, sometimes painting the ladies' nails or doing puzzles with the gentlemen, etc. I liked it so much that when I turned 15 and was old enough to work there and not just volunteer, I stayed on for an extra year and a half after my volunteer semester was over.

  5. Who had the greatest influence on you?
As generic as it sounds, my mom. She is the kindest, sweetest, strongest person I know, and every day I strive to be more like her.

  6. What are your favorite ways to stay active and fit?
Swimming! Any kind of activity that involves water is my favorite. I enjoy swimming laps, participating in and teaching water fitness classes, and I also enjoy outdoor water sports like kayaking in the summer.

  7. What is your favorite part of your job at One to One?
At heart, I'm a teacher first and foremost. I teach swim lessons and lifeguarding classes through the American Red Cross, and I'm never happier than when I'm given the opportunity to help someone else gain a skill that could save their own life or someone else's!
