  • Curtis Bickham

    Curtis Bickham

    Curtis joined the One to One Fitness team in 2022. He is an assistant manager, teaches muscle conditioning and boxing classes, and a personal trainer. Curtis has a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is a USA Powerlifting Club Coach. He believes the human body can be trained in an infinite amount of ways. Curtis’ expertise is centered around strength development and human performance. He encourages his clients to find what keeps them inspired and driven.

    Outside of One to One, Curtis enjoys drawing, reading, working out, and listening to scientific podcasts.

  • Alicia Carmeci picture

    Alicia Carmeci

    Alicia joined the One to One Fitness Training Staff in 2022. She has a BS in Pre-Physical Therapy from Southern Oregon University and Personal Training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Alicia spent over 16 years as a classically trained ballet dancer with experience working with both The American Ballet Theater and The Oregon Ballet Theater. In addition, she spent 10 years instructing dancers ranging from young children to seniors and spent 3 years working as a physical therapy aide. She highly values functional strength and mobility training for long lasting physical health. Her goal is to help her clients achieve a new level of freedom in movement by combining whole body strength with targeted muscle training.

    Outside of One to One, Alicia enjoys traveling with her husband, fly fishing, dancing, reading, cooking, and spending time with her dogs.

  • Jason Chuhay picture

    Jason Chuhay

    Jason joined the One to One Fitness Training Staff in 2008.  His credentials include being a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer, Road Runners Club of America Certified Running Coach, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, Crossfit Level 1 Endurance Trainer, TRX Suspension Trainer Qual 1, TRX Suspension Functional Trainer Qual 1, Kettlebell Concepts Level 1 Instructor, Jump Stretch Flex Band Instructor, and USA Track and Field Level 1 Coach. Jason also coordinates the One to One Fitness Running Club and provides gait analysis and running programs for runners of all abilities and distances. He ensures that each individual feels confident and well-informed about their exercise training techniques. Jason specializes in building stamina, bone density, balance and coordination, flexibility, self-confidence, and overall strength. His training philosophy is centered through intensified, functional exercise to obtain efficient, full-body workouts.

    Outside of One to One, Jason enjoys time with his family, being outdoors, running, cycling, reading, music, and traveling to state parks.

  • Joseph Dennis, Jr. picture

    Joseph Dennis, Jr.

    Joseph joined the One to One Fitness Training staff in 2020. He is a certified personal trainer through the American Council of Exercise and has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Akron in Strategic Organization Communications. Joseph developed his passion for exercise as a football, baseball and track and field athlete. His approach to fitness begins with developing and/or fine-tuning core body functionality and building strength, cutting fat, and building muscle from there, all while keeping the client safe through the implementation and education of proper exercise form. He really enjoys assisting clients of all ages and abilities reach their goals while also communicating ways to implement the dedication, mental fortitude and tenacity both inside and outside of the gym.

    Outside of One to One, Joseph enjoys spending time with family, reading personal development literature, attending concerts and festivals, and traveling.

  • Kevin Foster picture

    Kevin Foster

    Kevin joined the One to One Fitness team in 2020. He is a CWRU graduate in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering and a NASM certified personal trainer. His passion for fitness started with water polo and soccer, where he fell in love with weight training. He was introduced to powerlifting in college and now his workouts revolve primarily around the "Big Three"; squat, bench and deadlift. He implements aspects of bodybuilding, stability, mobility, and maximal power training into his workouts. Kevin brings a positive and friendly attitude to every session and uses his clients' goals to add new and unique exercises to their workout routines.

    Outside of One to One, Kevin enjoys working out and working with his 3D printers.

  • Dan Freshwater picture

    Dan Freshwater

    Dan joined the One to One Fitness Training Staff in 2008. He holds a BS in Sports Management/ Business and is an Accredited Certified Personal Trainer through the National Council on Strength & Fitness (NCSF-CPT).  He enjoys making each client’s routine specific and functional to their life and/or sport. Dan has specialized training in low back and core strengthening, stretching and flexibility and working with special populations (pregnancy, obesity, diabetes, and arthritis). His drive is to see others achieve maximum success in their individual goals.

    Outside of One to One Fitness, Dan enjoys playing sports, working out, and spending time with his family.

  • Dale Palumbo picture

    Dale Palumbo

    Dale joined the One to One Fitness team in 2024 with vast and impressive experience in self defense:

    • Second degree black belt professor in the Ivan Gomes style of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Gustavo Cortes, a seventh degree black belt in the Ivan Gomes style of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
    • Third degree judo black belt
    • Senior full instructor in the Jun Fan Jeet Kune Grappling Association under the late Larry Hartsel, an original Bruce Lee student
    • Full instructor in Jun Fan concepts in the Paul Vunak lineage
    • Full instructor in the Ultimate Warrior MMA program
    • Certified Westside Barbell and S.M.A.R.T. Trainer

    Dale teaches self-defense classes as a part of our regular group exercise offerings and is also available for private and partner training for more specific and individualized attention.

  • Melissa Parks picture

    Melissa Parks

    Melissa joined the One to One Fitness Training Staff in 2007, where she is an associate manager, teaches many group exercise classes, and is a personal trainer. She is certified through Kettlebell Concepts - Level 1, and is a USA Powerlifting Club Coach. Melissa trained in the sport of Muay Thai and found her passion in helping others. Melissa prioritizes teaching clients correct exercise technique for fun, safety, strength, and results. She emphasizes strength training and goal setting, and provides diverse workouts to motivate clients. Developing type 1 diabetes from her pregnancy in 2011 has given Melissa a different approach to health and exercise, and she welcomes working with diabetics to help them stay strong and healthy.

    Outside of One to One, Melissa enjoys working out, going for walks, photography, painting pottery and traveling to cheer on her daughter at gymnastics meets.

  • Ben Parks picture

    Ben Parks

    Ben has been a part of the One to One Fitness team since 2005, where he is currently our operations manager as well as a personal trainer. Ben is a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has also held numerous specialty certifications through CrossFit, USA Powerlifting, USA Weightlifting, Starting Strength, Hardstyle Kettlebell Club and Kabuki Movement Systems.  He spent many years as a competitor and coach in powerlifting and various martial arts.  Ben takes a practical, individualized approach to fitness. He has a passion for helping people of all fitness levels find the right types of exercise to fit their needs in a holistic, sustainable manner.  

    After decades of extremely intense, rigid, structured training, Ben now stays fit with casual weight training, functional fitness exercises and by exploring the Cleveland Metro Parks. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and plays the drums in a metal band. 

  • John Scardino picture

    John Scardino

    John joined the One to One Fitness team in 2023. He is a lifelong fitness professional, starting when he was young and earning him all state honors in high school track and field. John earned his Bachelors in Psychology from Mount Union University and his Masters degree in Sports Studies from Miami University of Ohio. John's mission is to ensure that his clients move optimally during sessions and in daily life. This is accomplished with a philosophy rooted in strength training, mobility training, and positive reinforcement. John embraces the standards of movement as established by the fields of physical therapy and exercise science while helping them achieve their fitness goals in a fun and motivating way. 

    Outside of One to One, John is a diehard sports fan, especially of the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Boston Celtics. He enjoys reading non-fiction books and listening to podcasts. He is also a huge animal lover.

  • Jevone Smith picture

    Jevone Smith

    Jevone joined the One to One Fitness team in 2023 as our fitness manager and personal trainer. He studied exercise physiology at Florida International University, where he became fascinated with the science of exercise and the effects it has on the human body. In 2012, Jevone earned professional status in the World Natural Bodybuilding Federations and International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA). With over 18 years of hands-on experience in the fitness industry, Jevone has developed numerous approaches and techniques for improving an individual's health, wellness, and physique.

    Outside of One to One, Jevone enjoys studying and creating strength programs for all populations. He’s a big fan of the Jets, Knicks, Yankees, Michigan Football, Formula 1 (LW), and the Arsenal Football Club. He also enjoys trying new restaurants in Cleveland. He welcomes your recommendations!

  • Enrico Stahlschmidt picture

    Enrico Stahlschmidt

    Enrico joined the One to One Fitness team in 2022 as a certified personal trainer accredited by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM-CPT).  Enrico's training philosophy centers on holistic well-being, influenced by his journey overcoming a knee injury. With 11 years of experience as a physical therapist in Germany, he merges rehabilitation expertise with holistic health practices, catering to diverse fitness levels. Enrico empowers clients with tailored programs and by prioritizing both performance optimization and injury prevention. Pursuing his doctor of physical therapy for U.S. licensure, he remains committed to guiding clients towards success through experience, learning, and innovation in fitness and rehabilitation. 

    Outside of work, Enrico enjoys hiking and riding his bike along the Metroparks, weight lifting, HIIT workouts, and is a member of the Cleveland Darter Club.
