  2. What’s something our members might not know about you?
As a senior in high school I rowed in the 50th Head of the Charles regatta in Boston, MA. This is an annual regatta where many of the world's best rowers compete in a 4,702 meter race down the Charles River. It was a wonderful opportunity to compete against athletes of all skill levels. Last year I participated in their virtual challenge, rowing 4702 meters on the rowing machine at our own One to One Fitness Center!

  3. What’s on your bucket list?
I love being active in the outdoors and taking the time to explore. Hiking all or part of The Appalachian Trail that runs from Georgia to Maine, or biking across the U.S. are adventures I'm looking forward to!

  4. What was your first job?
I worked at a pizza shop which just so happened to share a counter with a separate bowling alley business. While I am not a bowler, I learned a lot about the sport and picked up some tips and tricks along the way.

  5. Who had the greatest influence on you?
My dad has the greatest influence on me to always work harder. I grew up watching him participate in distance cycling events, where I would volunteer at water stations. Eventually I followed suit to participate in some of the rides. I looked to him to stay active in sports and the outdoors, and in the community. One might say he even looked to me to try rowing as my dad and sister became involved in the sport after I tried it.

  6. What are your favorite ways to stay active and fit?
I enjoy anything that gets me moving outside, my favorite of which is road cycling. This summer I became very familiar with the Cleveland Metroparks trails and took one afternoon to bike from Cleveland to Akron.

  7. What do you enjoy about group exercise classes?
My favorite part about group exercise is enjoying the workout with others. There's a combined feeling of accountability and motivation to keep working harder. Whether the class is low-intensity or high-intensity, the instructors are wonderful at providing opportunities to challenge yourself while working with others.
