Jason joined the One to One Fitness Training Staff in 2008. His credentials include being a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer, Road Runners Club of America Certified Running Coach, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, Crossfit Level 1 Endurance Trainer, TRX Suspension Trainer Qual 1, TRX Suspension Functional Trainer Qual 1, Kettlebell Concepts Level 1 Instructor, Jump Stretch Flex Band Instructor, and USA Track and Field Level 1 Coach. Jason also coordinates the One to One Fitness Running Club and instructs TRX, Kettlebell, High Intensity Interval Training and HardCORE classes. He ensures that each individual feels confident and well-informed about their exercise training techniques. Jason specializes in building stamina, bone density, balance and coordination, flexibility, self-confidence, and overall strength. His training philosophy is centered through intensified, functional exercise to obtain efficient, full-body workouts. During his free time he enjoys being outdoors, reading, listening to all kinds of music, and competes in road races throughout the year.
Dan joined the One to One Fitness Training Staff in 2008. He holds a BS in Sports Management/ Business and is an Accredited Certified Personal Trainer through the National Council on Strength & Fitness (NCSF-CPT). Dan’s clients have succeeded with weight loss, gaining muscle mass, injury prevention, race training, toning, and enhancing general fitness levels. He enjoys making each client’s routine specific and functional to their life and/or sport. Dan has specialized training in low back and core strengthening, stretching and flexibility and working with special populations (pregnancy, obesity, diabetes, and arthritis). His drive is to see others achieve maximum success in their individual goals. Outside of One to One Fitness, Dan enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.
Sean joined the One to One Fitness Training Staff in June 2006. He has a BS in Exercise Science from the University of Toledo and an MA in Exercise Physiology from Kent State University. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Certified Powerhouse Pilates Reformer Instructor, and Kettlebell Concepts Level 1 Instructor. Sean has experience working with all populations and enjoys training individuals to achieve their goals. He designs a personalized program that will allow his clients to quickly and safely reach their goals. He strives to make exercise effective and fun through dynamic/functional interval training. He wants to earn your trust while providing the support and motivation you need to get into the best shape of your life. When not training at One to One, Sean competes in flag football, basketball, and tennis leagues.
Rocco joined the One to One team in 2015. He has a degree in Biology from John Carroll University, where he was also an All American in shot put with the Track and Field team. Rocco received a USAW sports performance certification in 2016 and enjoys coaching and casually competing in Olympic Weightlifting, while also having great rapport with exercisers of all levels and interests. Rocco is also the throwing coach and strength and conditioning coordinator for the CWRU Track and Field team. In 2019, he coached the Division 3 National Champion in the women's hammer throw. Rocco believes that success requires consistent action toward attainable goals.
Alex joined the One to One fitness team in December of 2014. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a BS in Health and Wellness Promotion in 2012 and is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Alex’s goal as a trainer is to enable his clients to make healthy choices both inside and outside of the gym, and he believes education plays a key role in living a healthy lifestyle. He has experience working with a variety of populations and has worked with all experience levels, from beginners to division I college athletes. During his free time Alex enjoys fishing, archery, hiking, and spending time with his wife and family.
Melissa joined the One to One Fitness Training Staff in February 2007. She holds certifications through Level 1 Kettlebell Concepts and is also a USA Powerlifting Club Coach. Melissa trained in the sport of Muay Thai and found her passion in helping others. Melissa feels it is important to teach her clients the correct technique and form when it comes to exercise so that they can have fun, feel safe, get stronger, and see results all at the same time. She likes to teach her clients the importance of strength training and how to set performance goals. Melissa likes to motivate her clients by giving them intense and diverse workouts and is rewarded when her clients reach their goals or exceed their expectations of themselves. She works with all ages and fitness levels and will gear the workout towards the client's goals and interests. Developing Type 1 Diabetes from her pregnancy in 2011 has given Melissa a different approach to health and exercise, and she would be happy to work with people with Diabetes to help them stay strong and healthy. When Melissa is not working, she is at the gym working towards her goals and enjoys spending time with her husband Ben and their daughter, Lizza.
Ben has been a part of the One to One Fitness team since 2005. He currently holds certifications through the NSCA, USA Powerlifting, and Hardstyle Kettlebell Club and previously held certifications through CrossFit and USA Weightlifting. Ben takes a calculated approach to training people of all levels. His training style focuses on a balance of exercise technique, structured programming, rest, recovery, to promote long term success. Ben played sports growing up, and spent about 15 years training in various styles of martial arts. He competed for 3 years in both Muay Thai and MMA cage fighting. Ben currently participates in powerlifting competitions as a class 1 competitor in the USAPL. He was the USAPL State Champion in 2014 and 2016, as well as the Midwest Regional Champion in 2016. Outside of the gym, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife Melissa, and daughter, Lizza.
Becky Rocker joined the One to One Fitness team in 2017. She is a certified personal trainer through World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S.) and a TRX Suspension Training Level 1 Qualified Instructor. She is also a Certified Level 1 Stick Mobility Coach. Prior to One to One, Becky was the Marketing Manager at the Mandel JCC, where she focused on fitness and membership marketing initiatives. During that time, Becky realized her real passion was fitness and decided to make a career change. Becky is a competitive runner whose goal is to qualify for the Boston Marathon. When she's not working out, Becky enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her husband, daughter Dylan and twins Sage and Cruz.
Tangela joined the One to One Fitness team in March, 2018 as our Personal Training & Program Manager. She is a certified group fitness, cycling instructor and personal trainer. (AFFA, NASM). Her passions for fitness and muscle development are in helping her clients to achieve their fitness goals through a fun, educational and meaningful way. She believes that the health and fitness experiences are journeys for everyone. “Every person at any age or physical state has the ability to challenge muscle groups to their positive advantage, whether by taking big steps, like running marathons or small steps that include simply walking in the park daily. Either way, movement is excellent for the body and we all have the ability to challenge and change our bodies in some way, major or minor: we get to choose.” As a hip hop cycling instructor, she uses music to drive the ride with hill climbs, heavy resistance and interval training for a high intensity cardio workout. In her strength training classes and personal training, she focuses on weights to obtain hypertrophy and a toned look. While Tangela works with all fitness levels, her greatest passions lie in working with those looking to increase their power and endurance abilities. “I believe that the body is a beautifully complex machine and can be programmed to do what you train it to do.”
