Congratulations on completing your first course registration! Please note that the course registration tools in SIS will close for student changes at 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, July 23. Remember, registering for classes is a process, and some schedules may change a bit before the semester begins. So don’t worry if your schedule isn’t exactly what you hoped for right away.
Next week, your four-year advisor will review your fall schedule and reach out if any adjustments are recommended. This review helps ensure you are on track and set up for a successful first semester.
You will have another opportunity to make changes to your schedule once the semester begins. The drop/add period opens on Wednesday, August 19 at 9 a.m. Eastern, and you may continue to adjust your schedule through Friday, September 4 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern as you settle into your classes.
If you are considering changes to courses recommended for your intended major, we encourage you to discuss those with your four-year advisor or pre-major advisor first. You will learn who your pre-major advisor is during Discover Week.
As a final note, because of scheduled maintenance, SIS will be unavailable from Friday, July 24 at 6 p.m. Eastern until Sunday, July 26 at 8 a.m. Eastern. During this time, users will be unable to view or update student details (including student account data, class schedules, class rosters, etc.) as well as other functionality. After the maintenance, users will need to clear their browser cache before logging into SIS.
