Understanding Dining Services at CWRU

Students have a variety of meal plan options from which to choose depending on both their year and their housing status. Throughout their time at CWRU, students can choose a meal plan but it is important to note that all first-year students who live in university residence halls are required to enroll in a university meal plan. These are weekly plans that have a number of swipes each week that reset.

The official meal plan for new students will start on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. for dinner. During Discover Week, you will use your CaseOneCard (your student ID) to swipe at the designated dining locations as part of the Discover Week dining plan. Detailed information will be provided to you when you move in this fall.

Check out the dining locations where you can use regular and/or portable swipes when your official meal plan starts.

Another option is CaseCash. CaseCash is a declining balance tender loaded on your CaseOneCard. It may be used at a variety of food and non-food locations on and off campus, including the University Bookstore. Every $1 in CaseCash equals $1 of purchasing power. CaseCash is only available once your official meal plan starts.
