Teaching + Learning Technologies Offers Faculty Training Opportunities in January

Are you thinking ahead and preparing to teach in the spring and summer? This January, grab a mug of hot chocolate and join [U]Tech’s TLT and UCITE for TWO workshops to help you enter the new year with a confident swing in your step!

The Swing Into Spring workshop series is aimed at helping you to prepare for the Spring Semester (and beyond), while the ROOT: Refocus on Online Teaching workshop series is focused on in-depth topics to help you think of ways to enhance your teaching with technology practices in the summer and beyond!

The curriculum for each will be unique and we invite you to attend both, or just one, depending on your time and interest.

ROOT: Refocus on Online Teaching Workshop Series

The ROOT: Refocus on Online Teaching Workshop Series will focus on advanced uses of Zoom to maximize synchronous instruction, easy ways to create instructional videos and interactive learning objects, how to structure and facilitate group work and collaborative learning online, and a special session on putting tools into practice to address various teaching/scenarios. Faculty participants will spend approximately one hour each day outside of the synchronous sessions reviewing materials and preparing for the sessions.

ROOT will take place via hour long synchronous Zoom sessions, Monday through Friday, January 11-22 (with the exception of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day), from 12-1 p.m.

The sessions are being collaboratively developed by CWRU faculty support experts in [U]Tech's TLT and UCITE with learning designers in Noodle, CWRU’s new partner in delivering upcoming online programs in the Case School of Engineering and the Weatherhead School of Management. Noodle’s learning designers will lead the sessions with CWRU support members serving as additional guides.

Registration is required. Please fill out the form below and expect to receive confirmation and more information in early January.
