December Tip of the Month: Green Your Holiday
The month of December is a busy time with the end of the semester busyness as well as preparing for the holidays. One of our Sustainability Ambassadors, Erin, has three, easy tips to make your holidays just a bit greener:
- real trees are the way to go since they can be composted, used for firewood or even planted in the backyard
- recycle your wrapping paper or use greener options such a cloth, reused newspaper, maps or utilize reusable bags
- upcycled ornaments are unique and make the Earth happier
