Samuel Arbesman is an Adjunct Professor at the Weatherhead School of Management, as well as an xLab senior fellow. In addition, he is Scientist in Residence at Lux Capital and a research fellow at the Long Now Foundation. He is the author of The Magic of Code, Overcomplicated, and The Half-Life of Facts, and his writing has appeared in such places as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, and Wired. He was previously a senior scholar in research and policy at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and a research fellow at Harvard Medical School. He has a PhD in computational biology from Cornell University.
