Careers for International Students
We work closely with the VISA Office at Case Western Reserve University to proactively advise our international students on questions regarding immigration, work authorization and employment.
Opportunities While in School
After completing at least one academic year (two full semesters) at Weatherhead School, international students on an F-1 visa may be eligible to seek full- or part-time internship opportunities pursuant to Curricular Practical Training (CPT). Students interested in CPT are encouraged to discuss their plans with their academic adviser and the VISA Office, as CPT opportunities must meet strict criteria to be approved. Approval of CPT by the VISA Office is required before a student may begin work.
Opportunities After Graduation
After graduation, international students may apply for up to 12 months of full-time employment in their field of education pursuant to Optional Practical Training (OPT). Students seeking more information about post-completion OPT should contact the VISA Office.
