Test Policy

Case Western Reserve is Test Optional

At the time of application, you choose whether you wish to apply with testing scores or as a test-optional candidate, and you can change your mind about this up until two weeks before your decision release date by completing the form on your applicant portal.

No catches. No exceptions.

For students who choose to submit SAT or ACT scores, there are three ways you can submit them:

  • You can self-report your scores on the Common App or Coalition with Scoir,
  • Have your official score reports sent from the testing agency, or
  • Self-report your scores on your applicant portal, which you will be given access to within two weeks of submitting your application. Enrolling students will confirm their testing with official score reports.

Send Your Test Scores & Apply Today

If you plan to send your test scores, you will need to use CWRU's score recipient codes: SAT: 1105 & ACT: 3244.
