Need-Based Aid
Need-based financial aid is awarded based on your family’s financial circumstances. Case Western Reserve reviews information from the FAFSA and CSS Profile to determine your eligibility. If you qualify, your financial aid offer may include a combination of grants, Federal Work-Study and loans. All applicants who submit the required financial aid forms—including U.S. military service members and their dependents—will be considered for the funding for which they are eligible.

Tuition Exchange Program
CWRU participates in the Tuition Exchange program, a network of more than 600 colleges and universities that offer tuition benefits to the children of faculty and staff who work at participating institutions. If your parent or guardian works at a college or university that participates in Tuition Exchange, you may be eligible to apply for tuition assistance to attend CWRU. Learn more about eligibility and the application process through the Tuition Exchange website or your parent’s institution.
External Tuition Benefits
If you receive tuition assistance from an outside source, Case Western Reserve will factor that funding into your financial aid offer. In some cases, need-based grants may be adjusted so that your total aid from all sources does not exceed the cost of attendance. Merit scholarships are not affected unless the total aid exceeds the cost of attendance.
