Jane Daroff, D.C.S.W., L.I.S.W.-S (SAS ‘85), a CWRU alumna, clinical social worker, and nationally acclaimed LGBTQ+ ally and advocate, received the 2021 Newton D. Baker Distinguished Service Award. Daroff serves the community in many ways, such as when she co-founded the Cleveland chapter of PFLAG, an organization for LGBTQ+ people, their families, and allies, in 1985. She has been a proud and active member of the Human Rights Campaign for over 20 years. She has a 25-year career as a clinical social worker with University Counselling Services at Case Western Reserve University. Daroff has served on the Mandel School Alumni Association’s board and two terms on the CWRU Alumni Association Board and is now an Emerita Member.
