Summer Send-Offs

The Alumni Association of Case Western Reserve University has a warm tradition of welcoming our newest students and parents to our community with a Summer Send-Off in their hometown. Parents, students and alumni alike share experiences and get to know our newest students and families. All attendees have the opportunity to discover new friends and connections!

Why do we have CWRU Summer Send-Offs?

These informal gatherings are designed to ease the transition to college, foster a sense of community, and celebrate becoming part of the Case Western Reserve University family. They also provide an opportunity to get those last-minute questions answered before students arrive on campus—plus, attendees can enjoy complimentary food and pick up some free CWRU gear to kick off their Spartan spirit!

These events:

• Connect incoming students and their families with others from their area
• Build connections among families both locally and across the country
• Provide access to alumni, current students, parents, and staff who can answer questions and share insights
• Offer free food and CWRU swag to help students start their journey in style
• Create a fun, welcoming environment to help students and families feel excited and prepared for their CWRU journey
