Nikhyl Jhangiani (CWR ’14, MGT ‘16, GRS ‘16, public health) received the 2021 Young Alumni Award, which recognizes an outstanding alumnus or alumna of Case Western Reserve University who is 35 years old or younger. Jhangiani serves as the Head of Strategy & International Business Development for the Cleveland Clinic. He also founded and launched The Clinic by Cleveland Clinic, Amwell’s joint venture with Cleveland Clinic that provides Cleveland Clinic’s clinical expertise via Amwell’s industry-leading telehealth platform.
Before working for the Cleveland Clinic, Jhangiani was a former senior manager for corporate development & strategic partnerships at Amwell. In that role, he designed and implemented Amwell’s Sleep and Respiratory Care Program in partnership with Phillips to improve access to sleep medicine specialists in the U.S.
Additionally, he built on-demand telehealth workflows to support Naval Hospital in Jacksonville during the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in a 94.5% increase in telehealth utilization and successful sustainment of clinical operation at the hospital.
