Case Western Reserve University offers two graduate degrees specializing in big data for biomedical applications.
A special master's degree track in Health Informatics is offered through the CWRU School of Engineering's Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Through the CWRU School of Medicine, students can earn an MS or PhD in Systems Biology and Bioinformatics, with tracks available in Molecular and Computational Biology, Translational Bioinformatics, Clinical Research Informatics, and Applied Health Informatics. Additionally, the School of Nursing offers nursing informatics courses at both the undergraduate and master's levels.
After the development of a new undergraduate degree in Data Science, CWRU will also develop a post-baccalaureate certificate program, comprised of core data science courses and the choice of application domain specialization.
Starting this fall, the CWRU Weatherhead School of Management is offering an all-new track, the Master of Science in Management - Business Analytics. This track trains students to master analytical skills for application in both operations and marketing, thereby promoting synergies of interdisciplinary training. The MSM-Business Analytics track begins July 11, 2016.
