The library celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month, Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, with a read-aloud session. The event was held in collaboration with the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Engagement and Alianza Latina—a faculty and staff group. Students, staff and faculty were invited to listen, reflect and discuss passages written by Hispanic authors read out loud by members of the Case Western Reserve University community. Speakers included Kelvin Smith LIbrary Team Leader of Human Resources and Equity, Inclusion, Diversity and Belonging Marel Corredor-Hyland, Michael Bustamente, Sebastian Correa, Ulises Fidalgo and Cristián Gomez Olivares.

In addition, the Art Gallery featured illustrations by internationally known Cuban artist Camilo Villalvilla who has illustrated more than a dozen newspapers, magazines and several books.
