Explore digital scholarship tools at library workshops this spring
Kelvin Smith Library will offer a Digital Scholarship Workshop Series this spring to introduce participants to the powerful concepts, methods and tools of digital scholarship that may not be covered in regular instruction.
This semester, Kelvin Smith Library’s digital scholarship partners will lead hands-on workshops that explore data, where to find it, what to do with it and how to use it to your advantage in your academic pursuits in all areas.
The series will consist of the following sessions:
- Jan. 30: Evaluating Journal Quality
- Feb. 8: Introduction to GIS
- Feb. 13: Learning Text Analysis with Constellate
- Feb. 15: Photogrammetry: Workshop
- Feb. 20: Python: Assessing and Cleaning Data with Pandas
- Feb. 27: Using LLMs (Large Language Models) for Research and Instruction
- Feb. 29: Intro to Research Data Management
- March 5: Advanced Graphing with ggplot in R
- March 7: Network Analysis with Gephi
- March 19: Census Data in R
All sessions will be held in Kelvin Smith Library, Classroom 215, from 1 to 2 p.m. Due to the hands-on nature, all sessions require registration. Find more details and sign up today!
