The Freedman Center is closed!
To support a transition to new spaces and technology, the Freedman Center is closed and will reopen in August 2025. See this webpage for more information.
Freedman Center technology is available for self-service use when KSL is open, and KSL staff provide support for using technology and researchers working on digital projects. We assist with everything from helping you find what software is on our computers to advising in initial project consultations, partnering on digital projects, and providing guidance on best practices in research data management and open-access scholarship.
Here is how to reach us, if you:
- Need access to software or hardware: The lab is open self-service during long hours; see our hours and location page for more information.
- Want to see what kind of support we offer: See what areas of expertise the Center's digital scholarship specialists can assist with.
- Have an idea for a research project: You can book with digital scholarship specialists directly; if you aren't sure who to contact, email FreedmanCenter@case.edu and we will point you to the right person.
- Are teaching a class, and need assistance with research software: Digital scholarship specialists can guest lecture or work with you to develop course materials like Canvas modules.
- Need help right now: Chat with a librarian through Ask KSL.
