Bioethics Jurisprudence Dual Degree

MA / JD

This program combines the Master of Arts in Bioethics with the Doctor of Jurisprudence and is offered in cooperation with the School of Law. This program provides excellent preparation for students who wish to practice or have academic careers in health care law.

Bioethics Nursing

MA / MSN

This program combines the Master of Arts in Bioethics with the Master of Science in Nursing, in cooperation with the School of Nursing. The combined MA/MSN program will enable students to obtain graduate preparation in both fields, contributing to the integration of ethics in advanced practice nursing and thereby increasing the availability of ethics expertise to the nursing community.

Bioethics MPH

MA / MPH

This program combines the Master of Arts in Bioethics with the Master of Public Health degree and is offered in conjunction with the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Because of the breadth and scope of the field of public health and the discipline of Bioethics, the CWRU MPH and Bioethics Programs are ideally suited to combine in a joint effort.

Bioethics Social Administration

MA / MSSA

The Master of Science in Social Administration and Master of Arts in Bioethics joins two well-known academic programs to offer students an interdisciplinary experience blending the similar values of social work and medicine. In health care settings, ethical consultations are often requested on decisions having to do with end of life, organ donation, or initiation or withdrawal of medical treatments.

Bioethics MD

MA / MD

This program combines the Master of Arts in Bioethics with the MD degree, in cooperation with either the School of Medicine or the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. This program provides physicians with advanced knowledge and experience in Bioethics integrated into the medical curricula in each program.

Required Integrative Seminar

Required Integrative Seminar for Dual Degree Students (BETH 407)
Two semesters of the integrative seminar will be required for all students admitted to the Bioethics MA program on or after January 1, 2013 who are also pursuing contemporaneously a second graduate degree at CWRU. It is intended to be a 0-credit seminar. The course will meet for two hours per month during fall and spring semesters.
