My favorite part of the bioethics program has been studying abroad in the Netherlands while taking Death, Dying, and Euthanasia. This class taught me so much about end of life care and the considerations that go into decisions surrounding death.

Healthcare is incredibly complex; healthcare decision-making considers intersections of identity, economic incentives, religious beliefs, and scientific ideals. I felt sure that CWRU's well-known bioethics program could help me explore these topics and connect with experts in the field.

I am going to utilize my knowledge learned from my Bioethics minor for future ethical situations and upholding the principles of justice, beneficence, autonomy, and doing no harm in my academic career of doing research!

My favorite part of the program so far are how dedicated and committed my professors are to helping us learn. We have very interesting in-class discussions that I end up thinking about for the next few weeks and discussing at home with my roommates and family.

Bioethics and health humanities has been a perfect interdisciplinary approach to human behavior that allows me to discuss all of my passions outside of my individual major!

I pursued to Bioethics minor because BIPOC patients have disproportionate poor health outcomes and this is an issue that can be addressed by applying bioethical frameworks to patient care theory and practice.
