An important function of the Center for Medical Education is to recognize our top teachers. We have four distinct programs that showcase the best of our Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine faculty in the domain of teaching.
Explore our programs dedicated to teaching recognition for medical educators below, and discover our annual teaching awards offered in addition to these programs.
Academy of Scholar Educators
With three levels of membership available, the Academy of Scholar Educators serves as a community of educators who promote personal and professional development, provide increased opportunities for mentoring, and advance educator recognition.
Leadership and Medical Education – Collaborative (for residents and fellows)
Presented through the Academy of Scholar Educators, the Leadership and Medical Education – Collaborative (LME-C) offers residents and fellows the chance to connect with unique training opportunities for careers in medical education while becoming members of the academy.
Scholarship in Teaching Awards
Faculty members, fellows, residents and medical students regularly make significant contributions to medical educational programs—and our annual Scholarship in Teaching Awards offer the chance to formally recognize those contributions.
Top Trainee Teacher (Tri-T) Dean’s List
Residents or fellows across Case Western Reserve’s affiliated hospital systems contribute significantly to the university’s learning environment through their teaching, mentoring and other contributions to the educational mission. The Top Trainee Teacher (Tri-T) Dean’s list offers two award options to recognize these important contributors to our medical education mission.
