About

At Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, the Center for Medical Education—a Type A Center acting as a Department of Medical Education—offers an academic community for those working primarily in medical education. 

Within the center, our team serves several important functions: 

  • Supporting the medical education mission;
  • Delivering faculty development for teaching and learning activities;
  • Recognizing top teachers at all levels; and 
  • Providing expertise around academic work related to studying the learning process while contributing broadly to medical education research and publications.

The Center for the Advancement of Medical Learning (CAML) was created in 2006 with the mission of supporting the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine community in its pursuit of excellence in learning, teaching, and educational scholarship.

Mt. Sinai Skills and Simulation Center

The Mt. Sinai Skills and Simulation Center (MSSSC) is our 15,000-square-foot facility equipped with acute care suites, patient exam rooms, procedure task trainers, and conference rooms. With the latest technology for deliberate practice and skills assessment, the MSSSC is an important resource for our academic community of medical educators.
