Community Service

CCEL Serves

The CCEL Serves program provides students with structured, student-led opportunities to engage in flexible and commitment-based community service experiences. CCEL is committed to providing these meaningful, impactful, and accessible experiences with our nonprofit community partner organizations.

Civic Engagement Scholars

Civic Engagement Scholars commit to completing at least 30 civic engagement hours while also attending trainings and educational programs about community and social issues throughout the academic year. This initiative is designed to promote student involvement in the Cleveland community and beyond through significant and meaningful service.

Civic Leadership Launchpad

Explore how you want to engage in your community while making connections to take the next step. Participation in this cohort program is open to all current first and second-year CWRU students in good academic standing.

Locating Volunteer Opportunities

Explore CCEL resources for locating volunteer opportunities, including searchable volunteer databases, CWRU student service clubs, and popular near-campus nonprofits. As always, please feel free to stop by CCEL (Tink #165) if we can support you in your search or to reach out to us if you’d like to set up an advising meeting (commservice@case.edu).

Virtual Volunteering

Serve anywhere, anytime through a virtual volunteer opportunity! Some of these opportunities allow you to begin immediately, while some require an application and ongoing commitment. Review CCEL's Virtual Volunteering Hub for complete details.
