We make maps! But we are so much more.

A key purpose of the GIS Health and Hazards Lab is to use mapping as a tool to solve real world problems. We have developed new ways to collect data in even the most challenging situations. We incorporate advanced AI and machine learning to analyze traditional datasets in groundbreaking ways. Our specialty is using spatial storytelling as a tool to find the context around any situation and help people understand what it is like to live in a neighborhood. We have experience in almost every type of place and for any subject matter.

We have been working in Ohio and especially the Cleveland area for over a decade. While much of our work has a research dimension, we also pride ourselves on creating tools that anyone can use. And we are always happy and willing to just talk about a problem or situation and brainstorm ideas about how to creatively find a solution.

For more insight into our spatial storytelling, click on our Introduction to Spatial Video Geonarratives (SVG) and How the Spatial Video Geonarrative Analysis Works documents.
