The Swetland Center is committed to providing training and professional development to educate the next generation of environmental health researchers and increase research capacity within our community.
The Mary Ann Swetland Center for Environmental Health provides 8-week summer internships for individuals who are interested in developing their skills and deepening their knowledge of community systems science for environmental health equity. Throughout the experience, interns engage in thought-provoking experiences to address the environment’s disparate impact on communities and populations with a specific focus on advancing capacity in one or more of the Center’s focal areas related to:
- Community engagement for environmental justice
- Ecological, systems, and computational methodologies, or
- Implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of environmental health interventions.

The Mary Ann Swetland Center for Environmental Health is recruiting four (4) student Interns to support the Produce Path Promotion Program conducted in partnership with the Northeast Ohio Quality Improvement Hub’s AHEAD Initiative.
