Meagen provides strategic leadership for Case Western Reserve University’s development and alumni communications. As a thought partner to the University Relations and Development division, she develops integrated communications and engagement strategies that advance university priorities and deepen relationships with alumni and donors.
Drawing on her background in philanthropic communications, digital strategy and journalism, Meagen brings an audience-centered, data-informed curiosity to storytelling. She is particularly focused on translating institutional priorities and heartwarming alumni stories into compelling communications that inspire connection and action.
Meagen previously worked at Carnegie Mellon University and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, where she contributed to the newspaper’s Pulitzer Prize-winning coverage of the Tree of Life synagogue shooting.
Meagen holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Conflict Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Edinboro University. She also holds certificates in inclusive and ethical leadership from the University of South Florida and digital marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute.
Outside of work, Meagen enjoys Pilates, a good book and spending time with her husband, two children and cat.
