Stephanie Hale

Stephanie Hale is an awarded brand strategist and marketing leader with over 15 years of experience guiding strategy, creative, and communications for global organizations. As Head of Marketing and Communications at the Weatherhead School of Management, she leads efforts to elevate the school’s visibility, strengthen its reputation, and advance its mission to develop leaders who apply management as a force for good.

Stephanie is deeply committed to connecting academic innovation with real-world impact—telling the stories of faculty, students, and alumni who are shaping the future of business, technology, and society.

Prior to joining Case Western Reserve University, Stephanie led global brand and creative marketing at Coursera, where she built the company’s brand from early growth through IPO and B-Corp certification, scaling the team and strategy to reach more than 100 million learners worldwide. She has also held senior brand and strategy roles at Twitter, Leo Burnett, and other leading agencies, partnering with some of the world’s most recognized organizations and thought leaders.

She holds a master’s degree in Publishing from New York University and a dual undergraduate degree in Literature and Language Arts Education from Kent State University. Outside of work, Stephanie is exploring the world through her toddler’s eyes, teaching yoga and meditation, wrangling a labradoodle, trying to plan a date night with her partner, and always open to a good book recommendation.
