Steps to Enrollment Timeline

If you've already been accepted to Weatherhead School of Management, congratulations! This page details some of the next steps you can expect on your path to enrollment. Further information can be found on our FAQs page, or you can submit our contact form to request additional details.

Undergraduate Student Information

As an incoming undergraduate student, you'll have access to countless resources through the Office of Undergraduate Admission. We encourage you to review the office's dates and deadlines overview or submit their information request form should you have further questions.

Graduate and Doctoral Student Information

After being accepted into a graduate or doctoral program at Weatherhead School of Management, there are various steps you’ll need to take to complete the enrollment process before you arrive on campus. However—not all of these steps can be taken immediately after your admittance. You can expect to receive instructions and information about each phase of the process by or around the timeframes outlined below:

One Week After Admittance

  • Steps to activate your Network ID: With your CWRU ID you can activate your CWRU email account, apply for financial aid (for U.S. citizens or international students with U.S. consignor) and submit a second deposit, if required.

Early April

  • International Students I-20 instructions: In compliance with Department of Homeland Security regulations, Case Western Reserve University requires all admitted international students submit current detailed financial documentation before an I-20 or DS-2019 visa document can be processed. You will receive instructions on how to submit these documents and your I-20 as early as the first or second week in April. Applicants admitted after April will receive these instructions five days after they accept our offer by making their deposit.

Mid-April

  • August Orientation Instructions/Registration: Orientation is mandatory for all incoming students and designed to make your first few weeks at Weatherhead more successful. Please register as soon as you receive the August orientation email from Weatherhead in mid-April.

Early May

  • Student Services Documents: Several forms including the Release Form for References, Required Consent forms and the Financial Responsibility Agreement MUST be completed and returned to Weatherhead. You will receive these forms for your review and completion early May.
  • Official Documents: Documents such as your official, sealed transcripts, official test scores and for international students a Degree Certificate (if your official final transcripts do not state “Degree conferred/awarded”) must be submitted to the Weatherhead Office of Admissions before (or when) you arrive for orientation. More details on what’s required will be sent to you in early May.
  • Immunization Requirements: All students are required to complete the health and immunization history information and to acknowledge the privacy policy, whether or not they plan on using University Health Service for their medical needs. You will receive instructions on how to log in to complete your health requirements in early May.
  • Access Services, Housing, Student Discounts: You will receive information on securing parking permits, getting your photo ID, housing resources and student discounts on computer equipment and software in early May.

NOTE: If you are in a spring or summer start program, these dates will be adjusted accordingly so that you complete all necessary steps in time for classes to start in mid-January or in summer.
