Only candidates of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and Doctor of Management (DM) programs are eligible to apply to the PhD in Management: Designing Sustainable Systems program.
To be eligible for our program, you must have completed all first- and second-year courses in the DBA program, including the capstone quantitative project, or be an alumnus or alumna of the program.
Ideal Candidates
Ideal candidates of the PhD in Management: Designing Sustainable Systems program:
- Aspire to an academic career or a research position
- Aim to deepen their knowledge in a field and become one of the world's thought leaders in that domain
- Seek significant and sustained intellectual challenges
- Plan to investigate a transdisciplinary field with managerial implications
- Are open to feedback and constructive criticism on their research from their advising committee
- Enjoy presenting research work and engaging in intellectual discussions around its contribution, methods and substance
Required Application Materials for Current Students
To apply to our program as a current student, you must have completed all first- and second- year courses in the DBA/DM program, including the capstone quantitative project. In addition to an online application sent to the School of Graduate Studies, you must submit the following items:
- Four essays
- Two letters of recommendation
- Application fee of $50 (non-refundable)
- International students require evidence of financial support for studies
