Dear Alumni,
We’re just a month and a half into 2021, and I want to thank you for the variety of ways you have deepened your commitment to CWRU.
In my role as director of alumni engagement, I help guide strategy for chapter and regional programming and alumni volunteer opportunities. I have also partnered with the Office of Post-Graduate Planning and Experiential Education to establish and grow the CWRU Connect: Alumni Career Network, CWRU’s student-alumni networking and social platform. Our next endeavor is to use this digital space to engage a larger student population—an initiative we’re calling the Alumni CAREer Network.
We sent a message to current students last week, encouraging them to join the Alumni CAREer Network and its many “communities," along with invitations to several social welcome event opportunities taking place Feb. 16-18. The Alumni CAREer Network will encourage dialogue between students and alumni, so students can ask career questions, learn more about a city they want to move to and work in, or simply talk with an alum who follows the same sports teams.
I hope you will consider joining CWRU Connect and your regional or affinity community to be a part of the CAREer Network. You are also invited to join us for the upcoming welcome events. This project has the potential to help bridge the gap between those with degrees and those who are working toward them, enhancing the lifecycle of student-to-alumni engagement for years to come.
