Accessibility + Special Accommodations

Case Western Reserve University is committed to supporting the accessibility and special accommodations of graduates and guests so that all may participate in the celebrations of the day.

 


 

Parking

Handicap parking is available across the campus. Additional handicap space will be allocated in Lot 53, Lot 29 and Lot 82. Handicap drop-off is available at the Veale roundabout.

Transportation

Shuttles will circulate the campus covering many of the lots and key event venues. Shuttles have three steps to enter or exit. Dedicated ADA transportation is available to move guests around the campus. Golf carts will help move guests between the handicap drop-off at Lot 53 and Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center.

Wheelchairs

Wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis at all diploma ceremony venues. A team will be available to at Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center to help move guests in wheelchairs.

Hearing Assistance

Listening-assist devices are available for ceremonies at Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center. Please visit the information desk to obtain a device.

Seating in Venues

Each venue will have seating for those with mobility challenges. Speak with staff on arrival to let them know your needs.

Children

A dedicated children's play area will be available at Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center.

Nursing Parents

A private area for nursing parents will be available in Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center. Other venues will have space available - please speak with staff upon arrival for more information.
