Commencement is a day that touches every segment of our campus community. Faculty march with the academic procession, our marshals lead the way, our trustees join the platform party, and volunteers make sure that everything comes together to make the celebration memorable. Fill the Fieldhouse 2023
We are excited to have you as part of this special time, as commencement is just as much about celebrating our community as it is about celebrating our students. All of us—faculty, staff, and administration—are part of this milestone in the life of our students. We invite you to “Fill the Fieldhouse” on May 17 for University Convocation - the kickoff event to commencement week.
We ask that you arrive on the Quad near Sears Hall at 3 p.m. The Clap Out will begin promptly at 3:15 p.m. As a reminder, Convocation is open to the entire campus community and will start at 4 p.m.
Our goal is to fill the Case Quad and Veale with as many faculty, staff, and postdocs as possible. Please encourage your colleagues to join us on the Quad for the Clap Out and to attend Convocation.
Registration for Clap Out and Convocation is encouraged to gauge attendance but not required. Please note that regalia is only required for those participating in the academic procession.
