Academic regalia is required for anyone marching in the academic procession. The deadline to secure academic regalia for commencement is Friday, April 19
Interested in being a Marshal?
Faculty members are invited to serve as marshals for their school on commencement day. Marshals perform a critical role assisting with student line-up and leading the academic procession at the university-wide convocation and at the school diploma ceremonies. To learn more about serving as marshal, contact your school's commencement coordinator or email commencement@case.edu.
Regalia
All faculty participating in commencement activities must wear appropriate academic regalia. In addition, marshals wear a special sash denoting their rank and participation in the ceremony. The marshal sash should be worn underneath the hood, from left shoulder to right hip, across the body.
Walk-Throughs
All Marshals must attend a walk-through with the University Marshal to learn the procession route. Stay-tuned for updates about the date, time, and location for the walk-through.
