Lavender Celebration

Lavender Celebration first started at Case Western Reserve University in 2010. This annual event is a partnership between the LGBT Center, Pride Alumni Network, and the CWRU Alumni Association aimed at recognizing the experiences and contributions of graduating LGBTQ+ students of the university and its affiliated schools.
The event typically features an address from the President of CWRU, remarks from a student speaker, the awarding of certificates to and cording of graduates, and the awarding of the Douglas W. Nock Endowed Scholarship, the CWRU Pride LGBT Ohio Leadership Award, the CWRU Pride Outstanding Student Award, and the Prism Award.
