Life-threatening Emergencies
If you are on campus, call the CWRU Police Department at 216.368.3333.
If you are off campus, call 911.
Examples of life-threatening emergencies:
- Car accident
- Criminal activity
- Missing persons
- Suicidal thoughts
- Thoughts about self-harm
- Thoughts about harming others
- Natural disasters (tornado, flood, etc.)
- Sexual assault
- Other violence
Immigration-related Emergencies
Call the CWRU Police Department at 216.368.3300, and the dispatcher will help connect you to an ISS staff member.
During regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays, you can also call ISS directly at 216.368.2517.
Examples of immigration-related emergencies:
- Detainment at US port of entry
- Immediate threat of deportation
NOTE: Travel signature requests are not emergency situations. You can get a travel signature on an immigration document (I-20 or DS-2019) in person during walk-in hours or through express mail if you’re overseas. Contact ISS during walk-in hours for more information about these options or email international@case.edu.
Non-Emergencies
Examples of non-emergency needs for assistance:
- Travel signature requests
- Culture shock
- Stress
- Conflicts with classmates or professors
- Financial problems
- Scams
- Identity Theft
