Theme 2: Increase or Leverage Existing Resources, Expertise, and Space to Enhance Services, Enable New Knowledge and Advance the Success of the CWRU Community

To meet the research, teaching, and learning needs of the campus community, we must secure sustainable funding for resources and staffing from the campus, funding entities, and supporters.

Goals:

  • Optimize space to allow for continued growth of collections and services and to increase visibility.
  • Engage in a targeted analysis of our collections to develop benchmarks, processes, and data to shift towards more responsive, priority-aligned collection development.
  • Assess the collaborative services model implemented within the Knowledge and Creativity Commons.
  • Pilot a Peer Research Model to increase access to research support for undergraduate students.
  • Explore new ways of supporting technology-enabled teaching, learning, and research through open-source software and new modalities.
