Exhibit Request Form
Exhibitions are an important part of library outreach and engagement and are critical in fostering campus and community partnerships. The Kelvin Smith Library (KSL) Exhibition Program welcomes exhibition proposals from the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) community as well as from outside community members and organizations. KSL has several exhibition spaces supporting different types of exhibitions from book pop-ups, exhibits featuring the visual arts, instructional exhibits, and collection-based fine object exhibitions.
The main criteria for exhibition approval are:
- Is there existing exhibitable content?
- Does the exhibit concept coincide with/support existing efforts/partnerships of CWRU and/or KSL?
- Is there enough time and resources to develop the idea pending the current schedule of exhibits?
Complete this request form and you will receive approval, denial, or a request for more information within 10 business days. Approval may require changes to the initial proposal. Once your exhibit proposal is approved you will be asked to complete an Exhibition Agreement Form. With input from the Exhibition Coordinator Librarian, exhibits in the Art Gallery and ancillary exhibition spaces are approved by the Director of Administration Services and exhibitions in Special Collections are approved by the Team Leader of Special Collections.
